Corb Lund Band

Anyone reading this that lives in Alberta or is into country music probably already knows of these cats. If you don't you should check them out, even if you don't like country, cause they ain't the regular style of jazz. Corb pulls in alot of older influence mixed with bluegrass, folk, and some strong (stand up) bass lines. songs like the roughest neck around, time to switch to whisky, and the Truck got stuck will all get you hooked. Seriously. At least do some downloading on this, it's a pretty strong bet that you will dig it, I've gotten back into him again, so...serious...do it. peace.

Aussie Hip-Hop

So, I was chillin at home one night and my room-mate came home with some mad drunk aussie kid. I ended up makin' him some random mix of elctroclash, hip-hop, and indie-rawk CD (as a goin' away present), and in return he hit me with some australian indie hip-hop in the way of a band called the "Hilltop Hoods". I gotta be honost, these white boyz from the land below us is pretty tight. Check it out. For the real. As for now, consider me a ghost like Swayze, Peace.

Her Space Holiday

So, the majority of "her space Holiday"'s new album is not to bad especially with the stellar tracks like "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" and "Sleepy California" but those make up for the rest, even if they ain't so tight, Regardless, it is worth a listen. peace.

Antony and the Johnsons

I AM A BIRD NOW
Antony is a pretty weird dude, but I've never heard a voice like his before. You will either love it or hate it. It might take some getting used to, but personally, Amazing! very original, especially seeing as how he came from being in a death metal band throughout his teens, it's quite a switch.

TOM VEK

Tom Vek - We have sound
Tom Vek just came out with this new album on the 25th of october, and it's pretty sweet. The tracks "cover", "that can be arranged" and "nothing But green Lights" are awsome. The rest of the tracks are pretty sweet to. I would almost want to put him in a "gang of four" comaparison. It's kinda of a strange album from this british cat, with hardly any lead guitar lines, but all in all it works for him and I'm diggin this jazz.

New Album-The Craft

blackalicious has a new album out and it's pretty tasty. It's a bit of a change from "Blazing Arrow", which was another stellar album, but this is wicked. gift of gab, continues with some sweet lyrics on top of Xcel's tracks.

Imogen Heap

Imogen Heap is the edgy songwriter half of "Frou Frou". This is her solo album, and...in my humble opinion, is pretty snappy.

Talking Voice & Singing Voice

Starflyer 59 came out with a new album entitled "Talking Voice and Singing Voice". It's a pretty solid album, especially with the track "Good Sons". Starflyer 59

13 & God

13 & God is a collaboration between anticon`s "themselves" and "The Notwist". It's A tight creation with clang and clatter of the Notwist with some rhymes and flow thrown in. Definately no shortcomings here. Needless To say I'm A fan.

The Dead 60's are a British band that used to be the opening act for the morrisey tour last year, and now seem to be gettin' some well deserved recognition. definately worth a look.
